At Red Wing Corner Drug we continue to focus on what has made us the first choice in pharmacy for the Red Wing Community for well over 40 years. We make the satisfaction and health of our patients our primary concern. Over the years many national chain pharmacies have come to the area. They may be able to match our low prices, but they still can’t match our customer service and willingness to be a part of our patient’s health and our community’s well being.

Corner Drug was the largest practice site in the University of Minnesota’s Pharmaceutical Care Study from 1992-1995. Corner Drug was also one of APhA’s Project IMPACT sites. The pharmacy has participated in numerous HMO pharmaceutical care and manufacturers’ medication studies. All of our pharmacists are passionate about providing the best health care experience to our patients. It is a common sight to see our pharmacists come out from behind the counter to sit down and discuss a new medication with their patients. We believe that our pharmacists and their services are too valuable to be hidden behind big vitamin walls or in a big department store sandwiched between paper goods and electronics.

In addition to quickly and accurately filling your medication needs, our pharmacists have extended their focus into other opportunities to better the health of their patients.

Our Staff

Pharmacist/Owner Marv Dyrstad has been making a difference in his patient’s lives since he took over Red Wing Corner drug back in 1968. He received the 1995 Preceptor of the Year award from the College of Pharmacy. He was honored in 1999 as the College of Pharmacy Outstanding Alumnus. He has taught courses on pharmaceutical care, collaborative practice, and utilization of technology in Minnesota, Illinois, Kentucky and at the APhA Annual Meeting. He teaches classes frequently in local nursing homes. His passion for great customer service and his tireless attention to details have shaped Red Wing Corner Drug and the Corner Medical Center into the successful pharmacies they are today.     Corner Drug pharmacy manager Bob Goetz is a registered and trained as Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pharmacist, as well as actively involved in the local community to help raise awareness and funds for the treatment of depression and suicide prevention. Bob has been helping better the lives of his patients for over 25 years at the Corner Store.     Pharmacist Mark Cota is the manager of the Corner Medical Center pharmacy located in the Fairview Medical building. Mark and his team provide quick and easy access to all the same great services that are found at the Corner Store in the same location as your physician’s office and the urgent care facility. Mark is certified to give immunizations and vaccinations. He has organized, managed, and administered vaccinations during our fall flu shot clinics each fall. If you are looking for support hose or stockings our staff can measure and fit you with a pair that are tailored to your doctor’s specific recommendations.
